On the Sunday after our event, a cover story by Karin Welzel appeared in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, featuring numerous recipes, pictures, and a lively story.

This wonderful collage, prepared by the Polish Cultural Council, shows many of the participants of the evening we enjoyed together:

The Polish Cultural Council of Pittsburgh, PA. were our gracious hosts during September 17th and 18th. Below is a journal composed of images, a collage, and clippings from our sojourn in their beautiful city of three rivers. We would like to thank Malgorzata Matyjaszewska and Eva Tumiel-Kozak for inviting us and for organizing such exciting and beautifully prepared events! We would also like to say that PCC is an incredible group that gives Polish Americans in Pittsburgh lots to be proud of!

Above is the announcement that appeared in July 2005's "Polish Journey," the newsletter of the Polish Cultural Council.

On September 17, the Polish Cultural Council hosted a dinner and book-signing that was attended by 85 citizens of Pittsburgh, many of whom had touching memories of Poland or of their Polish parents, grandparents, or ancestors. It took place at the beautiful social hall of the Trimont Plaza, overlooking a panoramic view of the city. Dishes were prepared from "At Hanka's Table" recipes and they were superbly prepared!
